James Wood

Dr. James Wood obtained his doctor of optometry in 1985 from The Ohio State University, where he also earned a M.S. in Physiological Optics.
"Dr. Jim" completed an internship in vision training from SUNY, State College of Optometry in New York and a residency in Primary Care Optometry at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He is a past president of the Atlanta district of the Georgia Optometric Association and was named "Georgia's Young Optometrist of the Year" in 1991-92. An enthusiastic proponent of LASIK eye surgery, Dr. Jim has had the procedure himself.

To keep up with the latest developments in eyecare, Dr. Jim attends numerous lectures and webinars and is a member of: The American Optometric Society, The Georgia Optometric Association, The Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, The College of Optometrists in Vision Development, The Ocular Nutrition Society, and the Ocular Surface Society.
