In 2015, Highland Trust Partners was founded on the principle that our clients’ interests always come first. Building on this tradition, we are proud to be at the forefront of the pioneering trend on integrating life planning with financial planning. As your Financial Life Planners, we will first help you to define and design your unique version of financial independence. Within this framework, we will then develop a comprehensive financial plan that aligns your values and priorities and supports your life goals.

What products or services does your business offer?

Comprehensive Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, Special Needs Planning, Estate and Legacy Planning, Business Succession Planning, Business Retirement Plans and Investment Management

How do your offerings meet the needs of the community? We conduct a thorough individualized analysis of our client’s investments and financial objectives. We then provide tailored recommendations to help resolve concerns and assist in developing a timetable to achieve your financial objectives.

Community Involvement:
How is your business involved in the local community?  Member of local civic groups and sponsor of charity events.

Success Stories:
Can you share a success story or memorable customer experience? We recently assisted a client through the process of selling a business and provided solutions to achieve their financial goals for their family in retirement. Created peace of mind for them and a partner that their family can work with for years.
How have your products or services positively impacted customers?
We come along side our clients helping them navigate life transitions and plan for potential obstacles to achieving their version of success. We strive to eliminate clutter and stress about their finances and their future. Our goal is to give them peace of mind and ensure that they live financially satisfied.

What challenges has your business faced, and how have you overcome them?
Are there specific strategies that have helped you navigate challenges? Many in our industry are sole proprietors and must serve as a generalist with some knowledge in a multiple of areas. We have chosen to take a team approach. We have several advisors and support staff on our team. Each advisor has an area of expertise. We pool our talents to come up with the best solutions for our clients.

What are your business' future plans or upcoming projects?

How has being a chamber member benefited your business? The Chamber has been an integral part and fun way for us to get to know the Walton County community. There are so many opportunities to network and get information. It’s been a great avenue for us to offer our services to support the success of local businesses and their continuity.

Advice:
What advice would you give to someone starting a business in our community? Get involved in organizations like the Chamber or Civic groups. As often as you can, tell others about the work you are doing and take time to listen to others so that you can look for ways to help them on their path.
Are there some key lessons you've learned as a business owner? A spirit of collaboration can open new doors. Having a team and letting them work in their area of expertise gets a better outcome for clients. Start with the end in mind…create a succession plan for short term emergencies and for your retirement the day you start your business.
