Loganville Christian Academy - April Business Spotlight
Introduction | Background
From the onset in 1998, Loganville Christian Academy’s mission is to prepare students academically, spiritually, and socially for God’s call on their lives. Though our campus has changed — from the Upper School Building completion in May 2004 to the completion of our tennis & pickleball courts earlier this year — we have remained steadfast in our commitment to equip our students for the next chapter..
Across the 27 years, our campus has added buildings, such as The Lodge and The Den, and our student population has continued to grow. At present, we serve over 500 students from PreK3-12th grade, we are accredited by Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
At the heart of our program is an uncompromising commitment to providing a comprehensive, quality Christian education that equips our students with the necessary tools and skills to navigate the world they will enter after graduation. We not only want to prepare them to be successful for their current educational journey, but also in all realms of their life: in college, their community, future career, and the church.

As an education academy, we seek to create an experience that is academically rigorous, immersive in a Biblical worldview, engages the whole person, and inspires a love for learning. Families with students in grades PreK3 - 12th grade are invited to partner with us in the educational journey of their children.
In addition to the traditional core subjects, lower school students are taught collaboration and critical thinking skills through hands-on, project based learning in STEM. In technology, students build on their skills year after year with the goal of finishing 5th grade with skills to type, research, and use software for project development. Beginning with the basics of art in PreK3, students progress through more advanced concepts and explore the 7 elements of art. Music students in 4th and 5th grade are given the opportunity to join chorus or band. Additional enrichment is available to qualified students via the Journey Program, our gifted program.
For upper school students, LCA offers a variety of elective courses in the areas of Fine Arts, Physical Education, World Languages, and Computer Science. Eleven Advanced Placement (AP), 13 Honors, and 4 semester-long Dual Enrollment (DE) courses are taught on campus. In addition, students are able to take DE courses online and off-campus at local post-secondary institutions. 66% of the class of 2024 took one or more AP or DE courses earning the average of 17 college credit hours per student and 318 total college credit hours. In 2024, LCA set a record for AP Scholars (9 - AP Scholars, 3 AP Scholars with Honor, and 5 AP Scholars with Distinction).
Outside of the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in a plethora of athletic and extracurricular activities. For Fine Arts, we offer 1:1 Drum, Guitar and Piano lessons via the Beyond the Bell Program. Lower School (LS) girls can also be a part of Interpretive Dance, which is a program that teaches the expression of prayer and worship through dance. Student leadership opportunities are available in LS Leadership Academy Council, and Middle School and High School Student Government. In addition, many academic and social clubs are available including Beta Club, Junior Beta, National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, Mu Alpha Theta, International Thespian Society, FCA, Girls Growing in Grace, Solemates, The Living Readers Society, Going Green, Pickleball Club, and more.
Community Involvement
One of the ways we fulfill our core values is by building relationships with community members as well as being present at community events. In a given school year, you will find us at local churches supporting summer VBS programs, festivals including the Loganville Fall Festival, Grayson Days, and the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival. We also participate in both the Loganville and Monroe Christmas Parades. We also make an effort to attend ribbon cutting ceremonies and be present at the Walton Chamber meetings. This year, we have added being the host site for weekly Business Network International meetings as well as one Loganville Mingle meeting.
Success Stories
Loganville Christian Academy’s alumni base is rapidly growing every year, especially with the class of 2025’s record-breaking 61 graduates.
Through our Alumni Spotlight series, we’re continuously hearing amazing stories for our alumni.
For instance, Hunter Hampton graduated in May 2021. In January 2025, Hunter officially became a 2nd Lieutenant in the United State Marine Corps. Hunter shared his appreciation for the Christian atmosphere we provide on a day-by-day basis stating, “It’s an everyday thing at a Christian school to talk about Christ. It’s just very normal. It’s not very prominent, obviously, in the world. So, just hearing that constantly helped my spiritual walk for those 14 years I went there. It really influenced me in my life.”
Three years prior to Hunter graduating, Rebecca Moye graduated as part of the class of 2018. She now enjoys her career as a graphic designer and freelance artist, which allows her to blend her giftings with her deep passion for bringing unique ideas to life. But, in 2019 during her freshman year of college, Rebecca’s dream of illustrating a book came to fruition when former LCA teacher Cheryl Ingle approached her with a project. Rebecca said, “Cheryl saw my passion from a young age and watched me grow in it. She’s amazing at calling out potential in people. Every teacher at LCA was so good at encouraging us in our passions.”
Challenges & Solutions
As a Christian organization, it is imperative that all members of our team share the same beliefs as outlined in LCA’s statement of faith. When problems arise, because they will, it is important to address them from a Biblical perspective. Ensuring that team members and families align with our mission and statement of faith is a crucial part of the hiring and enrollment process. Additionally, as more and more families desire a different educational approach for their children, we are faced with the challenge of adequate space for growth. We are blessed with property that can house additional spaces and look forward to growing our academic spaces in the near future to better support our growing student body.
Future Plans
Starting in the spring of the 2025-26 school year, LCA will be introducing J-Term. J-Term is a week-long experiential learning opportunity designed to broaden students’ horizons beyond the traditional classroom. Aligned with LCA’s mission to prepare students academically, spiritually, and socially for God’s call on their lives, J-Term offers upper school students the chance to participate in specialized courses, mission trips, college visits, job shadowing, or internships. These experiences encourage real-world learning, spiritual growth, and career exploration. Ultimately, J-Term equips students with practical tools and meaningful experiences that inspire purpose and prepare them for life beyond high school.
Chamber Benefits
Being a member of the Walton Chamber of Commerce has allowed Loganville Christian Academy (LCA) to engage with local leaders, businesses, and organizations, fostering stronger community ties. Through events such as Leadership Walton, Youth Leadership Walton, Reality Check, Principal for a Day, and the annual Education Summit, LCA has had the opportunity to advocate for Christian education while demonstrating its impact on students and the community. These connections help promote LCA's mission and enhance networking opportunities for faculty, staff, and families.
LCA has successfully collaborated with the Walton Chamber through programs like Youth Leadership Walton, which allows students to develop leadership skills and gain exposure to local businesses and industries. Additionally, the Reality Check program helps equip middle school students with real-world financial literacy skills by simulating adult financial responsibilities. Hosting events such as the Principal for a Day Kick-off on campus and participating as an active member of the I am Walton Proud has strengthened LCA's reputation as a key community partner.
Advice
Building relationships is essential. Walton County has a strong, supportive business network, and joining the Chamber is a great way to establish credibility and connect with like-minded professionals. Investing in community engagement—whether through Chamber events, sponsorships, or school partnerships—can create meaningful connections that benefit both your business and the broader community.
One key lesson is the importance of aligning values with mission-driven work. LCA’s foundation is built on faith, and staying true to its Biblical principles has fostered trust and growth over the years. Another important takeaway is the power of adaptability—whether expanding programs, introducing new initiatives like J-Term, or responding to community needs, being flexible and forward-thinking is critical for long-term success.
